Luxembourg contributes to the Trust fund for “Rio+20”
Luxembourg announced today an initial contribution of 50.000 euros, approximately 67.000 US dollars, to the trust fund to support the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, “Rio+20”. Luxembourg attaches great importance to “Rio+20” whose objectives are to secure renewed political commitment to sustainable development, to assess the progress and implementation gaps in meeting already agreed commitments, and to address new and emerging challenges.
