Luxembourg is elected to the Executive Board of UN-Women
Following its election by acclamation on 10 November 2010 by the Member States of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, Luxembourg is now one of the 41 members of the Executive Board of UN-Women, the new Entity of the United Nations for gender equality and the empowerment of women. This election recognizes Luxembourg’s long-standing support for gender equality, women’s rights and empowerment of women at the United Nations.
